Synopsis
Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz. At first he thinks he's hit the jackpot-fame and fortune are his for the taking. That all changes, however, when he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity-and even a bit of wizardry-Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well. I saw the Oz the Great and Powerful last March. I wouldn't say it was great and amazing, but I thought it was very good! I saw it on 3D and the visuals looked spectacular in 3D! Great visual and sound effects. The cast were very good too. James Franco as Oscar Diggs, Michelle Williams as Glinda (the good witch), Mila Kunis as Theodora and Rachel Weisz as Evanora (the witch sisters). Loved the monkey and China girl. I though they were funny and were scene stealers in this fun, family friendly, fantasy film. Also, loved the end credits theme song "Almost Home" by Mariah Carey.

Overall, I thought Oz The Great and Powerful  was a very good and descent film for the whole family. It's a Disney film, after all. I enjoyed watching this movie.

My Oz The Great and Powerful Film Rating: (8.5/10; B+)
