Synopsis
In Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter

I saw this movie recently and thought it was a great action flick. Like the first one, it was also, fast paced and had lots of action and suspense that will get you on the edge of your seat. I loved and enjoyed watching this film from beginning to end. The first movie was such a surprise hit and was already great as it was and on its own that when I heard they were making a sequel, I thought, why? The first film was already amazing and should be left alone. They shouldn't be adding something and fixing a movie that wasn't broke the first time around, but with the similar main cast on board and pretty good story to follow up the first one.

This sequel was actually pretty good too. It was done really good and it worked! It did amazing (and surprises everyone...yet again) on its opening weekend with over $50 million box office gross! It showed that movie audiences were interested and enjoyed watching it too. It was great to see Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen, and Maggie Grace back in this film reprising their characters/roles as the Mills family (Bryan, Lenore, and Kim). This time, Maggie Grace's character Kim was not a damsel in distress that she was in the first film. She actually had something fun and interesting to do, lol. Now, her mother, on the other hand, was the damsel in distress, but only because she was not use to it or had not experienced what her daughter had gone through in the first film. Liam Neeson was totally bad-ass in this film as he was in the first one. Without him on this movie, this wouldn't have been as great as it is (or was now). The trio (Neeson, Janssen, and Grace) had a great chemistry too a family who were there for each other and will do anything to protect each other.

Overall, Taken 2 was great! I loved and enjoyed watching it. It was a must-see, fast paced, suspense with plenty of action, very good storyline, clever and funny, and a nice twist towards the end. I recommend you see this movie, if you haven't already. One of the many action flicks this year that I really enjoyed watching.

My Taken 2 film rating: (9.5/10; A)
