Synopsis
Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her, bringing MI6 under attack.

I saw Skyfall last month and I loved it! The opening credits (which referenced past Bond films/entries), was like a music video with Adele's stellar theme song, the similar title track to this movie's title. The song's catchy too especially in the part when she sings, "Let the skyfall, when it crumbles. We will stand tall and face it all together...Let the skyfall, we will stand tall...at skyfall..." It was creative and stylized. Loved it! Daniel Craig has never looked better and was simply brilliant as Bond, James Bond "reporting for duty," as he reprise his iconic Bond/007 role (for the third time) in this standalone version of a James Bond film. Loved Bond's cavalier attitude, his being down-and-dirty assassin on the mission, and how he was a very affectionate lover of the ladies.

Judy Dench
was simply brilliant and amazing (as she has always been...when has she ever not, right?) as M, Bond's boss at MI6 and had more to do in the story, as she was at the center of it. She was funny with her one-liners here. Her M character was fearless and blunt in saying, "take the bloody shot!" and "Where the hell have you been?" (in which Bond responded, "Enjoying death. 007 reporting for duty.") LOL! Loved her scenes with Daniel Craig as Bond especially when he entered the interrogation room to take his psychological test. The psychologist was like, "I'm going to say a word, and I want you to say the first word that comes into your head." and when it came down to the part when the psychologist said, "M," Bond said, "B*ch." Hahaha! M and Bond had some funny one-liners, very good dialogue, great banter, and their last scene together was...let's just say surprisingly dramatic and emotional (wont' spoil what happen here)...! Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva was an interesting and good villain. He was unusually hilarious, yet scary (his blonde hair was distracting though...) at the same time. He was brilliant as the antagonist in this film. At first, he was strange, but once you get his character's back story, it all make sense.

Skyfall had lots of edge-of-your-seat action, suspense, chase scenes, explosions, a few twists and turns, and humor added to a few dramatic moments.

Overall, Skyfall, was great and not a typical Bond film. The story was very well-written, smart, and witty. The acting was great especially Daniel Craig and Judi Dench. Great ensemble cast and very well-directed by Sam Mendes. Great visual effects and cinematography as well as the music. My only minor complaint was that it was a little too long. At times, it seems like it was going slow and dragging, but other than that, this film was really, really good. A must-see Bond film! I recommend you see this film, if you haven't yet! Go see it while it's still in theaters!

My Skyfall Film Rating: (9.5/10; A)
