In the Mood for Movies

Noah (2014) starring Russell Crowe , Jennifer Connelly , Emma Watson, Logan Lerman Watch the trailer for Noah Noah Synopsis A man is chosen by his world's creator to undertake a momentous mission before an apocalyptic flood cleanses the world. I recently saw Noah in theaters just before Easter. I thought it was good, but it was quite different and not the Biblical Noah movie I've expected to see. A very good (and familiar) cast with Russell Crowe & Jennifer Connelly (reuniting from A Beautiful Mind ) in the lead and in the title role as Noah and his wife. Emma Watson and Logan Lerman (plus Anthony Hopkins ) were good addition to the cast.

Man of Steel (2013) starring Henry Cavill , Amy Adams , Michael Shannon ,  Diane Lane , Kevin Costner , Laurence Fishburne , Russell Crowe Watch the Man of Steel trailer #3 (source: WarnerBrosPictures ) Synopsis A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind. (via Warner Bros. Pictures )

Besides, Gladiator was one of the best films and had won Russell Crowe and the film both Oscars. This film was good on its own. The story was set before the Kevin Costner version and was said to be a prequel. The story was well written. The cinematography and visual effects were equally great. Good direction by Ridley Scott (though Gladiator was still the best, in my opinion). Russell Crowe and Cate Blanche...
